Internet Addiction/how to stop

Being addicted to the internet is not a very good thing. it can sometimes waste your time. there are alot of ways you can figure out if your addicted to the internet. if your on there for more than 4 hours a day and if you consistently check it or change things. some ways you can stop using the internet so much are  go out i say go outside because if you go outside then  you will be distracted its also good to go outside because every now and then you need fresh air. another way you can stop using the internet so much is you can limit your time on the computer. limiting your time on the computer will help because if you give your self a time to get off the computer than maybe you can go out or do other things that are actually good for your health. one more  way you can stop using the internet so much is if you use it wisely. when i say use it wisely I mean don't use it for things you dont need use the internet for like research and other things that may relate to school work. im not saying you cant use the internet to play games or get on social network but you dont have to be on there for a long period of time. take time of the computer and maybe you can become more active. another way is you can get in a sport or get a job by doing one or the other that is also limiting your times in the internet because your destracted you have something to do and your not just sitting around bored. so maybe if by following some of the suggestions you will not be addictied to the internet anymore.

Facebook

I feel good about not using facebook. I feel it would actually be easy because I really dont get on facebook that much anyway. i only get on to check my messages witch is not really that important because most of my friends have my number. To me this challenge will be easy and I will get it done. To let my friends no i will write a status telling them that im letting facebook go for a week.

Family

people say the people that you can trust the most is your family. but i disagree because i see it as your family can be the first ones to do you wrong. me personally i don't trust anyone not even friends the only person i feel people can really trust is themselves because you cant do yourself wrong. i say not my family because every time you do something wrong and your parents find out about it they got to tell everybody else in their family. then when you tell a friend something they feel o well it's not my business so why cant i tell other people so i keep things to myself because i know if it wasn't meant to be said then i wont say it.

My hallowen

Today for hallowen i will not dress up but i am going trick or treating (your never to old for that). Im going out with  my friends and where going to hangout together because we haven't hung out in a very long time. i do not know what time i will be in the house maybe when my candy bag get's really full. i told my mom what my plans was and she told me "Denise your to old for that" and i told her no im not and you would want me to go because that shows you that im still a kid. i hope when i go out i don't see anyone i don't want to see because then that will just mess up my day any who i also don't want to see anyone really scary because then i will be scared :( i get scared very easily.

step father beating his stepdaughter (she dies two day later)

I was reading a article about this man who beat his step daughter because she didn't want to eat a hot dog. this happened in Phoenix Arizona. in Arizona they have the death penalty. in my opinion he need the death penalty because you shouldn't beat a child because they don't want to eat a hot dog and then at that in the article the man said "Daniels also admitted to disciplining Dani a few weeks earlier by biting her after she had urinated on herself." this is also no reason to bite a child. she's three years old she's not fully potty trained. if he doesn't get the death penalty then he should be put in jail with no bond and for life. you should never put your hand on a child because they wont eat or they peed on them selves. one she's probably not eat for a reason maybe she wasn't hungry or maybe she just didn't want the hot dog. she probably peed on her self because she didn't want to go to the bathroom or she was doing something and didn't want to stop. but putting your hand on a child a for no reason at all is very uncalled for.

Snow in October

I read an article about power outages due to the snow and it made me think. one why is it snowing and it's only October that's not normal October is still suppose to be a little sunny and not that cold. in the article it states "Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy says the more than 750,000 customers without power there breaks a record set when the remnants of Hurricane Irene hit the state in August. He says people could be without electricity for a week." This is horrible because i dont even think it snowed that bad i think some people just didnt pay there bill and it just happened when it snowed "what a coincident". but for the people that did loss power due to the snow they are probably wondering wow all of this in October that not good at all. all this is telling us is that when November and December and January hit it's going to be so much worse.

Is going to and from work bad for you health?

I was reading an article called "Commuting Is Bad For Your Health, Studys Says" This article talks about how people commuting for 30 to 60 minutes can become stress and people commuting for more than that doesnt. in the article is says " Researchers analyzed 21,000 people between the ages of 18 and 65 who worked full time and commuted to work. Results showed that those who traveled by car or public transit suffered from more stress, poorer sleep quality, exhaustion and felt that they struggled with their health.". I agree with this because it's makes alot of sense. when your commuting for a short amount of time you want to get home really fast so there for you rush to try and get home and when you hit traffic you become stress because your time is being added on to. I also agree because it says people who have a longer commute time has time to actually relax witch is true because if you know it takes you a while to get to where you need to be then you would want to take your time and not rush.

My Weekend with my bestfriend Raequana

My weekend was great I spent it with my friend that I knew for 5 years. We have been friends since the 7^th grade and I couldn’t ask for a better best friend. Throughout our friendship we only had 1 problem but we worked through them. I can tell her anything and she would actually help me and not judge me. During the weekend we hung out outside and we ate a great dinner. That same night we watched baby boy and talked. The next day we woke up and ate breakfast and when we were one we watched spider man and while watching that movie it was very fun because we also laughed at the same part. There’s a part in the movie when spider man is on top of the building and he discovers he can fly with the web but while he’s on the building and trying to fly he say’s “go spider go” on this part we laughed at the same time. I wouldn’t ask for a better best friend because it doesn’t get any better than her.

Missing 11 year old

I was reading an article about the 11 years old boy that was found in a wooded area. I have a lot to say about this. The father should be ashamed of his self for killing an innocent child whatever goes on between the parents should stay between the parents you should never bring a child in it.  To kill an 11 year old and know it’s your own flesh and blood should kill you on the inside.  If the death penalty was in Maryland he should have it but then again he shouldn’t.  he should have it because there’s no point in killing at all he shouldn’t have it because it’s kind of like an easy way out he should suffer and realize what he did was extremely wrong and unacceptable. I say the father is responsible for the killing of the child because to me it quite obvious if he killed the mother in her apartment and had the child then it obvious he killed the child. Things like this should be an eye opener for people to show you can’t trust everyone not even family. I bet that 11 year old boy thought his father would never hurt him but family can do you dirty.

Dont play after it rains

When I was 7 or 8 I was stuck in the house because it was raining outside. When it was done raining I made it my business that I was going to go play on the monkey bars. Me and another friend went outside and I was so happy and ready to go play outside. My oldest brother Antonio was outside playing on the basketball court with his friends. while I was on the playground with my friend I made it past the first two and when I got to the third bar I slipped and feel on my left elbow. After falling I realized that I didn't want to play on the monkey bars anymore so I went to watch my brother and his friends play basketball I wasn't crying or anything. My father looked over the balcony and asked was I ready to come in and I said no. As soon as my dad went in the house I told my brother that I was ready to go in the house. When I got in the house I told my dad that my elbow hurt and he asked can I move it I told him no. After I told him no he called the hospital and they told him to tell me pick up the top to a shoe box and I couldn't pick it up. So they told him bring me in. My mother came and got me and took me there with my father and they told me it was broke :(. they poked me in my right arm I do not know why. The next day came and I was able to go home they feed me some ravioli and gave me apple juice and sent me on my way. When I got home I was out of school for a while and I stayed over my grandma house for a couple nights. My elbow got better and better and the doctor told me to help I should fold clothes and so I did that and my arm got better in no time.

Protect our rights

In class I read an article called protect our rights to anonymity. This article talked about how the government should have access to things that they don't really need access to. In this article it stated that the police but a GPS device on a drug dealers car without a  valid warrant. I believe this is invading peoples privacy because not only did the police keep track of where he was going but they didn't have a warrant. My personal opinion is that I don't think anyone should be able to tap into your phone calls or put GPS devices on your car to keep track of where you going because it's really none of there business. Also in a way the way they use facebook is kind of OK like using the tagged pictures to identify a person that the police are looking for. In the article there's a picture that talks about the article in many different ways the picture is a man on the ground crawling and eyes are all around him and this article is basically saying that everyone have there eyes on you everywhere you go.

Kids on the plane

So throughtout my 16 years of living I never knew there were kids on the airplane that hit the twin towers. I always thought that terrorist were in the airplane and they hit the twin towers. I was talking to my mother and I said mom thats messed up why would they hit the twin towers and she said well you know there were kids in the plane and the terrorist took over the plane look on my face was priceless. I always think to myself why kids little kids at that. Some people just dont care.

Liberty Vs Security (Why now?)

On abcNews there's an article named "Your Thoughts: Liberty vs Security". In this article there are comments on weather we should have liberty or security. Having liberty is basically having freedom to do basically anything you want to do. Having security is basically cutting your freedom down and it takes away some of the opportunities you have. In the article one comment stated "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and loose both". I found this comment to be some what true because if you decide to give up a little liberty for security not all policemen and women do their job right so there for your liberty is going down the drain and the security that you are expecting to do something for you are really doing nothing but taking your money. Another comment that I found Interesting was a lady or a man was talking about why start this now and we haven't been attacked since then. I agree with them if we haven't been attacked since the 9/11 happened why try and take away peoples freedom to have more security. Now as far as the government being allowed to record out phone conversations and read out emails I can really care less about that because I feel they are already doing it well the email part. I also think that the government have our contacts and they can also check our phone record and see who we have been talking to. Overall I think I would be in the middle if it actually came down to choosing.  My liberty and having freedom is very important to me and I wouldn't give it up for security or people who are suppose to keep you safe and they don't do there job then that's like a smack in the face.

5 boring laptop bags

 

 

I was reading this blog named “10 Unique Laptop Bags for the Fashionable Techie”. in this article they showed you a picture of 10 laptop bags that they found unique. well when I was looking and reading through the blog I found 4 laptop bags that I thought were boring.
The 4 laptop bags are
1. Vax Walden
2. Patent leather carry case
3. Speck A-Line
4. Pinstripe Messenger

I choose these laptop bags to be the most boring because they looked very simple like a regular one would look.
Vax Waldon: This laptop bag is boring because it’s just green and black and looks like a regular laptop bag. it looks very simple and not colorful at all
Patent leather carry case: This laptop bag has a unique name but the bag itself is not unique well to me. this bag a a vanella color and it looks plan  it doesnt look like anyone will buy the bag
Speck A-Line: this bag doesnt look like a laptop bag. it looks more like a purse it’s really small and doesnt look lie a laptop can fit in it
Pinstripe Messenger: this laptop bag looks like it goes to a laptop but I find nothing unique about it the color doesnt really go together it makes the bad look boring.
